The MTN communication network has always been a partner of music. A retrospect to the yesteryears they have always spearheaded top projects like IFEST, UNSTOPPEABLE and the MTN Make The Music competition in 2014 when Salatiel emerged the winner. We know the story and relationship Salatiel had with MTN Cameroon as concerns music matters up to the extend of financing the production of “Fap Kolo”, his very first official single. 06 years later, precisely in October 2021.
MTN Cameroon launches MTN ZIK Music Festival expected to run from the 24th to the 27th of February and Salatiel is accorded the role of brand ambassador of the event and equally stationed as the producer to produce songs of candidates who emerged winners of the just ended MTN ZIK Competition. It recorded more than 350 participants and the major goal was to track and support music development of young acts around the nation.
Just as mentors to entrepreneurs and God Fathers to business tycoons it was done under the supervision and guidance of music icons like ALADJI TOURE, ANNIE ANNIE ANZOUER and SALATIEL. As a result of this 4 talents emerged victorious to know Aicha BM, Abouang, Fleaby Nkoa, Franck Talla since it is about them each received rewards among others: a sum of (01) million CFA francs, the musical production of a single and a video supervised by the production label Alpha Better Records , the performance on the music set of the MTN ZIK Festival concert.
As courtesy demands, these 4 winners were expected to jump on a team theme song centered around football which they eventually delivered a song dubbed unbeatable winners “JOUER” It cuts through the Cameroonian bendskin rhythm and sprinkles of Afrofusion and folkloric melodies. The video was realized by Mr. Tcheck and the production prowess of Salatiel aka High Man General. In the sing, they venerated sports icons like Vincent Aboubakar, Francis N’gannou, Rigobert Song who are an equally brand ambassador of MTN as a whole entity.
